FUN CITY - GOA

Goa, a tiny emerald land of 3,702 Sq.Kms. on the west coast of India, with its natural scenic beauty, attractive beaches, churches and temples, famous for Its architecture, feasts and festivals and above all hospitable people with a rich cultural milieu, has an ideal tourist profile. Situated on the western coastline of India, Goa is split into two districts, North Goa with the capital city of Panaji and South Goa with places such as Vasco da Gama and Margao. On one side stand the palm trees, lush green and swaying in the wind, and on the other the vast Indian Ocean greets you. Enter the fascinating world of Goa's rich and varied heritage. Ruins of forts and monuments tell tales of a glorious past, of changing fortunes, of a different, but nevertheless exciting Goa. Of the time of Kadamba rulers, of Adil Shah,of the Portuguese reign. Imposing churches and temples built in an era gone by stand as important landmarks in Goa's march in time down the ages. They are today major tourist attractions. A visit to Goa is essentially a visit to the magnificent churches dotting its cities, and the equally remarkable temples which have an architectural style quite distinct from the Dravidian or the north Indian style. Added to these are the plazas, taverns and mansions which speak of Portugese presence in the land till recently.
